At this time IAn is still just a tropical storm but is predicted to gather force by Wednesday. The forecast called for relatively low winds on Monday with the storm reaching its peak by Tuesday and Wednesday. The path of the storm could change either heading further away from Sarasota or perhaps closer. We must keep vigilant but if it seems to be verring away from us I can see holding class tomorrow Monday. I am certain that Wednesday’s class will be cancelled but again Friday may be quiet enough to hold class. I will kep you informed. Its also import to know that Saturday October 1 the class start time will move from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Stay safe and healthy. Hoping to see every very soon.
Summer has been long and hot but there is a slight chill in the air as we move into the Fall season of yoga on Siesta Key public beach. I had been teaching the yoga classes through out the summer with only a few cancellation due to rain. But the most ideal weather is just around the corner and starting on October 1 I take the start time to 9:00 am until then I will start the classes at 8:30 am. The weather has already cooled off and the mornings are just glorious. Start your yoga class habit early and bring energy and healing energy to start your day with mind, body and soul in alignment, in harmony with the earth sun and sea. Hope to see you all soon.
Over 30 members of a Canadian Paddle Boat Club attended Monday’s Yoga class & I must say this group was so willing & cooperative. They behaves beautifully, focusing their full attention on my instructions & uncomplainingly participating for the entire 90 min. class, regardless of the challenges the poses and movements may have presented to them. It was a pleasure to teach such a lovely group of young people. I love teaching such large classes as the collective energy inspires and motivates me. This time of year when the summer temperatures can be be quite hot, even early in the morning, fewer people attend which gives me the opportunity to take the poses to a very deep level both physically & spiritually. So for me large classes are very motivating but our smaller Summer classes can be inspirational on deeper healing levels, and this with the added advantage of a warm ocean just steps away in which you can bath & swim to your hearts content after class is worth it’s weight in gold. Thank you every one who attended my Monday class I enjoyed teaching it very much. Hope to see everyone on Wednesday 20/22 at 8:30 am.
It’s been a wonderful summer so far & the new 8:30 am start time seems to be working fine for everyone therefore we will then keep this start time till October when we will start a half an hour later at 9:00am. All Summer classes start at 8:30 am and end at 10:00 am Mon. Wed. Fri. Sat. This Monday 7/18/22 I am expecting a group of 30 athletes from Canada so if you would like to join this class you are more than welcome, but you may want to show up a few min. before start time to find your perfect place in class. Class is held, as always, on Siesta Key Public beach between the blue and the green lifeguard stands. Bring water, dress for the heat and please bring exact change of $10 per person. Don’t miss these summer classes, the heat helps us to stretch more deeply & then you can jump into the ocean to cool off and enjoy the water. There is no better therapy then sun, sea & yoga.
I will be teach Friday July 1 and Saturday July 2nd but not on July 4th as the beach tends to be very busy and the beach is strewn with garbage from the night before. If you decide to come on Friday and or Saturday be aware that it is crowded and to show up early to find parking. Class begins at 8:30 am all summer. We have been fortunate with the weather as it has not been too hot in the mornings and there usually is a nice breeze to cool us down. Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone. See you all very soon.

The summer heat is here and our yoga practice must adapt to the heat. I always teach spontaneously, choosing poses & sequences of poses and movements that are appropriate for the outdoor conditions as they change. In this heat it is easier to release tension and to stretch further. We can hold poses longer and we can go deeper into the stretch. The movement are done slowly and in concert with the breath building energy and body unity. Summer yoga can be deeply therapeutic and healing. Dress is light clothing bring plenty of drinking water and a hat. Bring exact change please of $01 per person and come a few min before class start time which is 8:30 am. The rainy season has arrived and the rain has come in the mornings this year more often than usual. During the summers it may rain in the mornings when our yoga classes are scheduled but for the most part it tends to rain in the afternoons when this summer rain pattern returns to normal we should be able practice our more yoga frequently . The summer is off to a brilliant start with the cooperation of the weather the yoga classes have had only a few cancelations due to rain throughout May. I will be teaching on Saturday the 29th and on Memorial Day the Monday the 30th. We continue the summer class schedule into June the start time is 8:30 am. . I hope to see everyone coming to class as the increased heat helps us to deepen our poses and increase our level of flexibility. I remind you to bring plenty of drinking water with you and to wear loose comfortable clothing to protect you from the sun yet allow you free movement. I have been experimenting with 8:30 am start time for our summer yoga class schedule all of the month of May and I find the time is convenient for most of those who have been attending. I plan to keep this schedule going for the whole summer. Classes are taught on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 8:30 to 10:00 am. Please bring drinking water and a towel or a mat. Classes are payed for at the beach, please bring exact change of $10.00 per person. Beginner are welcome. Its been a very lovely summer so far and I want to thank everyone for their attendance and enthusiastic support.
