Our luck is holding out this week as the weather continues to be spectacular. Chilly in the early morning when we begin our yoga class at 9 am then as we practice the sun warms up the air and so we take off the many layers of clothes we wrapped ourselves in mistakenly. I am the most guilty of overdressing for the cold having lived in the tropics most of my life I over anticipate how cold it will be. Its important too to have some drinking water with you. Someone who was new to the class today mentioned to me how she thought it would be more difficult to do yoga in the sand thinking that it would shift too much but she was happy to find out that the sand in fact offered greater traction, support and comfort. It was an experience that she will always remember she said. I loved this comment as it is the impression most people have when they imagine doing yoga in the sand. Siesta Key sand is very fine, white and molds well, it is made of 99% quartz crystal, imagine doing yoga on top of a giant crystal that is exactly what you will be doing if you come to the beach for our next class on Friday the 3rd of December. Hope to see everyone soon.
